The Local and International Organising Committees note with profound gratitude the interests and enthusiasm shown by all stakeholders in the mounting of the above workshop series scheduled to kick-off on March 12, 2015 at Asaba, Delta State for the South-South Zones.

Incidentally, the postponement of the General Elections in Nigeria to the above date has warranted our shift of this workshop series. We respected the views and requests by our all-embracing stakeholders to reschedule the programme in deference with the wishes of Local Government areas in Enugu and Delta States and targeted Ministerial Departments, viz: Office of Secretary to the State Government, Ministries of Youth Development, Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Women Affairs, Directorate or Infrastructure, Directorate of Millennium Development Goals, Directorate of Local Government Affairs and Directorate of Rural Development.

Thus in consultation with all local and international stakeholders, AFSEA and Mathesis Consulting UK have faithfully aliened their strategies to hold this empowerment and skill acquisition programme in July to allow the full participation of local government areas as well as the incoming Federal and State Government as they settle down properly to articulate better life and wealth creation programmes.

The new dates will be publicised on this Website and communicated to all stakeholders in the first week of July. This is on the basis of allowing the South-South and South-East Zones to take the first shot to be followed by the South-West take their turn in last week of July under this sequential adjustment of this workshop series. Then after, the programme will to Abuja to cater for the Northern States in August.

The Local Organising Committee will continue to adequately liaise with all stakeholders towards bridging information gaps as these will be on our Website. This is because we are committed to create the awareness on the adequate utilisation of clean, affordable renewable energy resources.
